Personally, I have been interested in the voice recognition technology since the middle of 1980's. At that time, I was dreaming to replace a joystick for kids' education by Tandy Color Computer.
Vocre is the venture company who introduced their real time voice translation. It will be available for iApps for iPhone. As you can see the demo, it is getting the area of JUI (Joyful User Interface) with the mixture of VUI (Voice User Interface) and GUI (not Graphic but Gesture User Interface). They are under $50K seed round. Actually it does not seem to be a technology but an idea. I think it will be interesting to pay attention what they're going to do.

個人的には音声認識の技術には1980年代半ば頃からずっと興味をもっています。当時はタンディのColor Computer2で子供の教育向けにジョイスティックの代わりになるようなアプリケーションを夢見ていました。
Vocreという起業がリアルタイム音声通訳のアプリケーションを出しています。iAppsからiPhone向けに出ています。 デモから分かるようにいわゆるVUI（音声ユーザーインタフェース）とGUI（グラフィックスでなく、ジェスチャー・ユーザー・インタフェース）を合わせたJUY（ジョイフル・ユーザー・インタフェース）の領域に近づきつつあるように見えます。彼らは約5000万円の最初の投資ラウンドを行なっているようです。技術というよりアイデアでしょうが、注目するには面白い会社ではないでしょうか？
