The Key of IoT Part 3

Warm-hearted service is required for IoT.  It is what the Japanese are good at, isn’t it?

That is, Omotenashi (warm hospitality). Omotenashi is not only for the tourism industry.

The collaboration between digital technology and analog Omotenashi makes the IoT business success.

Intuitional user interface is not a technology, but it can be developed with consideration of an user expectation and behavior as well as society where we live.

It is our EnLinx Partner’s mission; Happy and Happy.

Intel NII and Tesla Autopilot = JUI

I had talked about the user interface roadmap from GUI, VUI and JUI in the past.  JUI stands for Joyful User Interface and it would be based on the universal language; e.g. gesture motion.

Intel refers JUI as NII; Natural, Intuitive and Immersive and they announced RealSense as its technology platform.

Now, Tesla announced Autopilot for their electric cars.

Time for JUI...

It is time for E-commerce home page to change its design; less text with more photos and video with new User Interface.

The Key of IoT Part 2

Another example is BALMUDA challenge.

BTW, I have been wondering why there are no home appliance in the USA by made in Japan although I can find made in Korea.  The Japanese products are much better because of ecology, quite and etc.  They can produce them in the USA like automobile.  It dos not have to be made in Japan but could be developed by the Japanese companies. Adding net service, it will create a new market.  Here in the USA, air conditions are already connected into internet.

If they think the home appliances are no longer products for the Japanese companies to make since there are no special technologies required, it is wrong.

You know ex-Sanyo products are now sold very well in Asia with the marketing efforts after Haier acquired.

Needless to say, Dyson products prove it as well.

How to Start a Startup - Standford Univ. Lecture 1

You can review what you are doing.

The Key of IoT Part 1 - IoTの鍵 Part 1

I think that IoT can be defined as seamless and intuitional product and service without thinking of internet and PC.

What makes it possible?  It is UI (User Interface).

I talked about JUI (Joyful User Interface) before.  It is the development from GUI(Graphic User Interface) and VUI(Voice User Interface).

IoT business is not beyond PC environment but daily products and service near you at home and in the street.  For instance, it is a traffic information panel at the platform of NYC subway.  In Japan, they have LED information panel for long time but it is uni-directional communication vs. NYC subway is bi-directional.  There are many advertisement panels at the Japanese railroads and subways.  They can create a new service with digital signage and smartphone collaboration.

Evernote and the 100-Year-Old Startup

More than 80% of 100-year-old companies in the world is the Japanese companies.

Dynamic change gives some refresh and momentum in the society but it is also important to inherit the mission and traditions.

I am now personally fan of the Japanese Traditional Crafts to support introducing some of them outside of Japan; mainly the current Japanese swords, not antique ones so that this culture and work will be passed onto the next generation.

Working on Wado Website and soon, I hope to start selling them to support the current swordsmith and related smith life and work.
