Parkmobile Application in Amsterdam

I thought Smartphone application in Japan and Korea were advanced... yes, it is compared to the USA.  However, I was impressed by Parkmobile Application here in Amsterdam.

What it does is that you put the Parkmobile card on the window shield of your car.  When you park your car, you buy an electrical parking ticket through Parkmobile application in your smartphone.  It is connected with GPS and let the police know where and how long you park your car.

So, in the street, there are no parking meters.  Of course, some streets still have the parking meters.
It is ecology solution and less cost to manage the parkings.

Smartphone is the latest device but they already have this kind of services.

It is more important to innovate an solution although the technology and hardware are still driving factors for this kind of innovation.

パーキングメーターがないところでもスマホを使って駐車が簡単にできます。要する時間はほんの数秒。

写真のParkmobileカードを購入し、スマホにはアプリケーションソフトをダウンロードしておきます。駐車するとそのアプリをクリックして、駐車する予定時間を入れておしまい。

GPSとも連動して、警察には持ち主の車がいつまでそこに駐車できるようになっているか分かる仕組みだそうです。

スマホが進んでいるのは、世界でも日本や韓国だと自負していました。
確かに米国に比べると進んでいるでしょう。

でも若者がスマホで遊んでいる段階ではまだまだ本当にイノベーションされたとは言えないですね。こうした社会インフラやサービスのソリューションが提供できるともっと生活スタイルも変わるでしょう。
