TPP 4 - Negotiation

In Japan, a lot of groups are against TPP.  In a sense, it is good.  A lot of Japanese people start paying attentions on TPP and politics.  It is time for the Japanese politicians not to ignore the people.

As I commented before, I can understand some of industries would face fear and demerit.  But we need to be careful not to jump into an extreme conclusion.

Japan should sit at the TPP negotiation table. Otherwise, it will be all or nothing.

There is always a possibility to reach some mutual understanding and agreement.  Japan can decide that they must walk away or other countries might agree with what Japan would propose.  FTP could be an alternative choice after Japan spends their efforts on TPP negotiation.  Otherwise, no other countries will seriously listen to Japan in the future.  Should not walk away without any negotiation.  Japan should seriously tackle with TPP.

TPPの議論が国民レベルの関心事になっていることは大変良いことだと思います。これで国民不在の政治をすすめれば、日本の政治家はもう日本に住めなくなる？

気をつけたいのは、反対＝TPP交渉テーブルにもつかないという極論は　避けるべきです。

交渉テーブルにつかなければ、オール OR ナッシング。

日本がきちんとした理由のもとに主張すべきことが通れば、折衷案の合意の可能性はある。そこに日本の国際社会における存在意義が求められています。交渉決裂であれば、TPPには不参加でFTPの選択肢も残るでしょう。

極論からは何も生まれないと思います。いや・・それは既成をぶち壊す大改革では有効な手段行動であることは確かですが・・・大きな痛みと犠牲を伴います。今の日本の置かれている状況はそんなものではないはずです。
